In front of YMCA Downtown Oakland, CA, hundreds of protesters are being shuffled into vans. The Media will try and say that the protesters were “trying to ‘occupy’ the YMCA.” This is not true! The OPD (oakland police department) in fact, ketteled the hundreds of protesters in front of the Y.

The OPD claims they had given 3 dispersement warnings, yet the only officially documented warning was the last.

This mass arrest is the finale of an all day war between the police and protesters. Police are claiming that one officer was slashed in the face with a bike, and two other officers have cut their hands. The OPD used Teargas bullets, rubber bullets, and batons to kennel the protesters. The number of injured protesters has not been disclose, but it is definitely more than 3…
